A very flawed and convoluted "classic", the plot takes some time to really kick off and is then twisted so many ways to have a so called happy ending with two adulterers winning against a sociopathic murder conspirator. Ray Milland and John Williams are great while everyone else is just meh, especially the Mark Halliday character whose white-knighting is utterly unbearable.
